If we're talking about music through the A5's, then to me i think the two different cabinet/horn tunings would be far more offensive to me. Even if it isn't audible, i can see it, i know it exists, it kills my objectivity, and is visually almost as offensive as the shiny hardware store "L" brackets. I don't have a problem with the rest of the room.
The quantity of speakers and where they're located in that room will have less effect than opening/closing a couple windows or doors. I'd guess they offer about the equivalent damping characteristics of a dozen to maybe fifteen clothed adult humans, except they're more predictable than humans.
Also, the inputs of the unused speakers can be shorted, effectively "dynamically braking" cone motion.
My most realistic concern with unused speakers in my listening room is the unnecessary "work hardening" that is occurring in vintage HF diaphragms. I've been known to "stuff a sock in it"(the unused horns of course)for the sake of preservation.
Just my .02.............................

for the sake of preservation.
